Blind
Lyrics
I never knew you could use the joker
Until I saw you
Piece together a faulty hand
And let the game fall through
Just a smile and a bluff
And the smugness of a lie
Oompa-Loompa at the table
And a confused outcry
They cry
They wanna play a game
You do the same
When they play rough
You better call their bluff
When we bet first
We get all messed up
It's like the blind
Leading the blind
And in the end
Only actions mend
I know you're tired of
The blue and red
Bicycle ride
They go all in
And force our bid
Don't play the game
With frivolous kids
Caution, this predicament of venomous ignorance
Leaves us in a precarious circumstance
Don't carry the blame
Don't fall in line
Don't have to cheer
For colorguard ties
Change the deck
Change the players
One way to go
If you really care
And in the end
Only actions mend
I know you're tired of
The blue and red
Bicycle ride
Just a smile and a bluff
And the smugness of a lie
Oompa-Loompa in his cradle
Leading us to die
To die
And in the end
Only actions mend
I know you're tired of
The blue and red
Bicycle ride
The Story
Blind is a commentary on United States politics under the guise of a very poorly played poker game. The player (the people) feel cheated by the dealer, who seems to be playing using whatever rules they want, and making us use all of our chips.
Ultimately, we're tired of playing the game the way that they make us, and want some change. Make sure that YOU don't get stuck in a terrible game of poker - VOTE whenever you can!
