Feels Like Home
Lyrics
We all need something to rely on
That little light that gets us through the dark
That thing that’s always there when things get tough
And makes all your misses hit their mark
For some folks that’s family, friends, or lovers
But I learned long ago that that’s not me
Those things always seem to turn their back on me
It seems I’m just better off alone
My strength lies at the bottom of a bottle
It takes my pain and sets me free
And it feels like home
Oh it feels like home
Oh it feels like home
It hasn’t let me down
It hasn’t let me drown
Out in the world, life’s a little harder
Waits ‘til you’re not looking, hits you in the gut
Well I don’t pull punches when I hit back now
And the drink keeps me always standing up
I know you might not understand, but it feels like flying
And sober’s standing on the ground
If you grew up with wings, you might understand
Then again, not much of my kind around…
My strength lies at the bottom of a bottle
It takes my pain and sets me free
And it feels like home
Oh it feels like home
Oh it feels like home
It hasn’t let me down
It hasn’t let me drown
And it feels like home
Oh it feels like home
Oh it feels like home
It hasn’t let me down
It hasn’t let me drown
Let me drown
The Story
Qarra is an aarakocra monk from a sect that guards one of the fabled artifacts of the reclaimers needed to defeat Aramis III. A peculiar style of her martial prowess involves imbibing copious amounts of alcohol to form unpredictable movements and fierce attacks. She met the caravan at the holy city of Anchremor which had been ransacked by the devils released by the Jewelheart cult, and joined them to protect the world.
